St. Gertrude’s Fall 2025 Adult Faith Formation Bible Study Program - Lectio: The Case for Jesus
Join us in the Parish Hall OR via ZOOM for 8 weeks on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. starting October 16 and ending Thursday, December 4th. There’s an optional, bonus Q & A session on Thursday, December 11th.
Can we trust the Gospels? Do we really know who wrote them? Do the Gospels communicate truth – or fabricated fables? Who is Jesus? Who did Jesus claim to be?
“The Case for Jesus” draws evidence from both early Christian and non-Christian writings attesting to the authenticity, authorship, and dating of the Gospels, and gives an in-depth look at the Gospel accounts of Jesus’s Crucifixion, Resurrection, and the proclamation of Christ’s divinity. Dr. Brant Pitre’s powerful presentation, delivered via DVD, will strengthen your faith so that you can not only stand firm and profess that Jesus truly is “the Christ, the Son of the living God,” but also confidently respond to any skeptics you encounter.
Each evening we enjoy an engaging video presentation, lively discussion, fellowship and treats. The highly recommended but optional Study Guide is $40. Please register via the Parish website, after one of the weekend Masses or at the Office during the week.
